Practicing communication doesn't have to be exclusive to being seated at table! Find whatever motivates your child, whether it is riding in your car, watching animals/making animals do tricks, going for a swim, or swinging on a hammock. Keep in mind that more fun your child is having, the more motivated he/she will be to communicate with you! Think about how excited you get whenever a friend mentions your favorite restaurant, car, or TV show. Well, the same goes for your kiddo(s)! So get out there and have some fun trying new activities while communicating!
